Assassin’s Creed titles are cozy games for me. There’s no more relaxing place to go after a difficult day: historical outdoor museum tours, plus dopamine dispensers, plus slow-paced assassination simulators. The developers of Assassin’s Creed: Shadows seem to understand this need to escape better than ever before. I’m “only” 40 hours into Shadows (I reckon I’m only about 30 percent through the game), but I already consider it one of the best entries in the franchise’s long history. I’ve appreciated some past titles’ willingness to experiment and get jazzy with it, but Shadows takes a different tack. El 24 de abril ya casi está aquí y, aunque en el calendario no sea feriado, los fans de los plegables tienen esa fecha bien marcada. ¿La razón? Todo apunta a que Motorola se prepara para revelar nuevos modelos Razr, y los rumores sobre su hardware ya están calentando motores. UU., estos modelos se conocen como parte de la serie Razr 60, y gracias a una filtración cortesía de OnLeaks y 91Mobiles, ya tenemos una buena idea de lo que podríamos ver en el que se llamará Razr 60 Ultra internacionalmente —o lo que en EE. UU. conoceríamos como el Moto Razr Plus 2025. ¿Qué traería el nuevo Razr Plus 2025? Según las filtraciones, el nuevo plegable de Motorola vendría cargado (literalmente) con mejoras importantes. Estas son las especificaciones que más llaman la atención: Pantallas: Pantalla principal: LTPO AMOLED de 7 pulgadas, resolución 1440p, tasa de refresco de 165 Hz, ¡y hasta 4500 nits de brillo! Pantalla exterior: pOLED flexible de 4 pulgadas, también con 165 Hz y 3000 nits. Procesador y rendimiento: Chip: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite (sí, el más tope de gama del momento). RAM: Hasta 16 GB LPDDR5x (aunque algunos rumores también mencionan una versión de 12 GB). Almacenamiento: 512 GB UFS 4.0. Cámara: Trasera: 50 MP principal, apertura ƒ/1.8, con estabilización óptica (OIS). 50 MP ultra gran angular con función macro. Frontal: Nada menos que 50 MP para selfies. Batería y carga: Batería de 4700 mAh (mejor que los 4000 mAh del año pasado). Carga rápida TurboPower de 68 W con cable. Carga inalámbrica de 30 W. Extras técnicos: Vendrá con Android 15 de fábrica. Peso: 199 gramos. Colores filtrados: rojo, verde, negro, rosa y… madera. Sí, madera. ¿En qué mejora al modelo anterior? Hay mejoras claras. La pantalla principal no cambia mucho en tamaño, pero sí gana en resolución y brillo. También hay una pantalla exterior con más Hz, lo que significa animaciones más suaves incluso al usar el teléfono sin abrirlo. En cuanto a la cámara, este año se dice adiós al teleobjetivo y hola al ultra gran angular con función macro. Pero sin duda, lo que más destaca es la batería más grande y con carga más rápida. Con eso, Motorola podría atacar una de las debilidades tradicionales de los plegables: su autonomía. ¿Y qué falta saber? A pesar de tanta info filtrada, aún quedan incógnitas. ¿Será el modelo “Ultra” globalmente y “Plus” en EE. UU.? ¿Habrá varias versiones con distintas configuraciones de RAM? ¿Tendrá funciones exclusivas? ¿Qué tal el precio? Pero si esto se confirma, el Moto Razr Plus 2025 pinta como uno de los plegables más completos del año… y Motorola parece más que lista para competir fuerte.

The creators of Sunderfolk wanted to make a video game that would help players “Rediscover game night.” By my reckoning, they have succeeded, because I am now regularly arguing with good friends over stupid moves. Why didn’t I pick up that gold? Don’t you see how ending up there messed up an area attack? Ah, well. That kind of friendly friction, inside dedicated social time, only gets harder to come by as you get older, settle into routines, and sometimes move apart. I’ve hosted four Sunderfolk sessions with three friends, all in different states, and it has felt like reclaiming something I lost. Sunderfolk is a fun game with a lot of good ideas, and the best one is convincing humans to join up in pondering hex tiles, turn order, and what to name the ogres who shoot arrows (“Pointy Bros”). Maybe you already have all the gaming appointments you need with friends, online or in person. Sunderfolk, I might suggest, is a worthy addition to your queue as a low-effort way to give everyone a break from being the organizer. It does a decent job of tutorializing and onboarding less experienced players, then adds depth as it goes on. Given that only one person out of four has to own the game on some system, and the only other hardware needed is a phone, it’s a pretty light lift for what I’m finding to be a great payoff.
